The second annual AI Youth Camp will take place in Summer 2024 online via Zoom. All regional high school students (grades 9-11) are invited to apply.

The camp will expose students to artificial intelligence (AI) with practical applications. Topics will include machine learning, reinforcement learning, and engineering ethics. We will be using open-source datasets from the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, and NASA. Basic coding skills are required. Registration is limited to 20 participants.

Comments from 2023 participants

I enjoyed the ethics game and learning about different machine learning models.     This was a fun experience. Everyone involved was amazing.     I liked to learn how to use Excel and the basics of Python to analyze data.     It was very useful and helped me decide what I'd like to do in college.     I do recommend extending the length to 2 weeks and showing more UI labs/research.     I wish that the camp was longer so I could learn this topic with more depth.
